The 24-Hour Method

Give me 24 hours. Let's see what you can build.

By the end you should know what you're selling, who buys it, what you charge, what it's called, and how the first sale happens.

To be clear about the number: 24 hours isn't a countdown clock and it isn't a promise that you'll be rich by tomorrow. It's the amount of focused work it takes to stop thinking about starting and actually have something real to take to market.

The stages

Twenty decisions, in the order I'd work them.

This is how I'd take you through it in person. Open a stage to see the questions I'd put to you before we moved on.

  1. Before we touch the idea, I want to know about you. Everything else gets easier once this part is honest.

    What I'd ask you

    • Why do you actually want to do this?
    • What are you genuinely good at?
    • What experience, knowledge, relationships and resources are already in your toolbox?

Step one

Start my business

Answer what you can. If you don't know an answer yet, that's useful information too — leave it blank and we'll work on it together.

Optional.

Plain language is fine. If you don't have an idea yet, tell me what you keep coming back to.

I'll use this to send you your first step. No spam, and you can stop hearing from me whenever you want.
